This is a personal site and research toolkit. This page explains, plainly, what data it collects and why.
This site is run by an individual (not a company), for personal and academic research purposes. Contact for anything on this page: [email protected].
Site analytics. The site uses Google Analytics (GA4, including Google Signals) to understand traffic — pages visited, general location, device type. This is standard web analytics, not tied to your name.
Google account for "Proyectos" (El Aleph). Signing in with Google is required to create or manage a research project, of any kind — online, mixed, or in-person. We store your email address and display name to identify which projects belong to your account, so you can find and manage them again from any device. Participant data (demographics and task results) for a project is stored on our server as part of that project whenever the device collecting it has a connection; an in-person project created or used without one keeps that data only on that device instead. This is never sold, shared, or used for marketing.
Research participant data. The decision-making tasks (Ultimatum Game, Iowa Gambling Task, multiplayer game) collect an anonymous participant code plus self-reported age and gender, and your in-task decisions — no name is collected there. El Aleph's cognitive assessments collect a participant code, your name, and — depending on what the researcher running that specific project configured — age, schooling, and/or sex, along with your task results. All of this is tied to a code chosen for the study, not published or shared outside the research use it was collected for.
Data is stored on infrastructure operated for this site; it is not sold to third parties. Research data is used for the stated academic/personal research purpose it was collected for.
A session cookie keeps you signed in where relevant (e.g. admin, or your Google-linked Proyectos account). A small cookie remembers your language choice (Spanish/English). El Aleph also stores some data locally in your own browser (IndexedDB/sessionStorage) for offline-capable tasks. Google Analytics sets its own cookies as part of standard GA4 behavior.
You can ask what data is stored about you, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to [email protected].
